Snow in the woods

I've now come back home, and though I'm happy to be in my own things, I miss my family. I've had a good trip, but now I've got to get back to the daily grind.

Before I do that, I wanted to share with you a few picture I took in the little wood behind my parent's house. We grew up in that wood, playing hide and seek, building countless "tree houses" and all around getting in troubles.

After the snow storm of January 1st, I took a walk in that little wood and took pictures, here's some of them:

We started at the barn, Maya (Mom's dog) and I.

There is always high wind on the Island, so you'll notice that there's a lot of snow close to the ground, but as you go up, there's less shelter, so less snow.

I always love to see the little snow cap on top of the fence posts!

Look how much snow piles on thin branches, love it!

Winter wonderland!

Either I've grown, or the path is getting overgrown... or both. It's been years!

C'mon Maya! She doesn't want to come home. See her in the far background. A black/white/grey dog is hard to make out in the snow!

It was my first snow trip in 6 years! It was fun, it was beautiful, see you again in 6 years! ;op

Snow Storm!

I haven't posted much because there really isn't that much to say. It's a quiet, relax trip. I spend a lot of time with my family, saw friends a little.

There are a lot of card games, naughty foods, and laughs. I've been attacked by a TINY poodle. I have seen all the "kids" in the family, my cousin's kids, and I feel oldish...

Today we have a snow storm (again) and I decided to suit up and go out to play with it. My attempts at taking pictures weren't too successful, but I did get a few in. Keep in mind that my parent's property is sheltered from the wind a lot. It was nice and easy in the backyard.

This is the backyard, seen from inside through the kitchen window.

That's the backyard seen from the door. I opened it to try and take a clear picture. It was hard to take picture because the snow was swirling around and getting the lense all wet!

My brother also took a few pics of me playing in the snow:

After a walk in the wood, I stuck around and played in the snow with Mom's dog. I was throwing snowballs and she was chasing them. Too funny!

No I haven't gained THAT MUCH weight. I'm wearing 3 layers of pants, and my Dad's HUGE snow coat.

Me and Maya playing around the decorated Christmas tree behind the house. At night it looks really cool to have the colored light in the snow!

No I'm not depressed, I'm about to bend down to grab some more ammunition to throw a ball at the Photographer (big brother).

I did miss, but it was worth it, I got a "DON'T YOU THROW A SNOWBALL IN MY KITCHEN!!!" from Mom.. Been years... MUAH AH AH

I'll try to go and take pictures in the trail I walked in today. It was beautiful!!!

Be good n stuff!
